Have you ever noticed that wheelchair ramps always look like a Rube Goldberg addition to the house and never match the buildings architecture?
Add-a-Ramp is the first maintenance free, modular ramp that has colors to match a building's exterior. The use of mesh fabric as a handrail filler, curved switchback turns, and attractive handrail connections create a new aesthetic reference for wheelchair ramps.
Add-a-Ramp is designed for residential and commercial applications. The modular design uses minimal hardware and no pre-assembly is required. The modular Add-a-Ramp complies with ADA guidelines and is fast and easy to install. Made in the USA.
The modular ramps sections are molded from a high tech material automotive grade fiberglass and are offered in three colors, grey, chocolate and desert tan. The handrails are an anodized aluminum offered in 34”, 38”, and 42” heights. An optional vinyl coated outdoor mesh fabric can be installed to fill the handrail opening.
For ideas on how Add-a-Ramp would look in front of your home go to Installation Pictures. Not every installation is the same because of lot sizes and length of ramp. ADA recommends that a ramp should be one foot long for every inch in height. In other words if the height from ground to your door threshold is 30” then your ramp is 30 feet long. Frequently long ramps have 90 degree or switchback turns to improve how it fits on the property.
